August 10, 2010 CISSP Exam Study Group

Several people at Valero, CPS and other Corporations in San Antonio are studying for the CISSP, I am putting together a two month Study group to go over each chapter/discipline in-depth. I have the following dates reserved at our training center, if anyone that is a member of ISSA is interested in joining the study group there is no charge, just please contact Joseph Mlodzianowski to get added to the list. The hours will be 1:00PM to 5:00PM on Sundays starting August 8th and ending September 26th. Performs duties in support of University Health System and Information Services Information Asset Security policies. Provides administration and maintenance of individual user-ids and passwords to promote individual accountability on all of UHS' Information Systems. July 25, 2010 - UTSA Seeks Participation in an Information Security Research Study

Dr.Nicole Beebe, chapter member since 2001, is conducting research into information security budget setting and decision making. She is assembling a panel of experts to participate in a Delphi study that will examine what factors should be considered when establishing information security budgets, especially in light of limited resources and competing budget requests. UTSA expects the research will help organizations set better and more informed budgets, and do so in a more efficient manner.

Panel members must have direct experience (past or present) with setting information security budgets, and/or have had experience (past or present) with directly influencing such budgets.
